Adopt A Sheep

The Goal of Adopt a Sheep is to Preserve the Irish Heritage of Mountain Sheep, living in the Scenic Area of Moll's Gap on the Ring of Kerry in the South West of Ireland. When you will Adopt a Sheep at Kissane Sheep Farm, you are also helping to maintain a Traditional Family Farm in this Special Area of Conservation which has been owned by the Kissane Family for many Generations and your Donation will help to keep the Sheep and Family Farm for Future Generations. In the Molls Gap, area, Mountain Sheep have been in the Hills and on the Roads for over one Hundred Years.

Every year thousands of tourists come to visit Ireland and the Ring of Kerry, to see the Beautiful Country Side and make photographs of the Ewes and Little Lambs wandering around, enjoying their freedom. You can Adopt a Sheep for only €50.00 a year and become an Adoptive Parent, and you are welcome to come and visit the Farm and see your Sheep and also our Sheep Dog Demonstrations. (The Farm is Open by Appointment for Demonstrations From Middle of March until End of October Every Year). In the Spring Time the Adoptive Parents will also be able to see the many Baby Lambs that will be Born that time of the year on the Farm. The Adoption Donation, covers the costs of maintaining One Mountain Sheep for a Year.

You can give your “Adoptive Sheep” a Name and you will receive a Certificate with All details of your Sheep on it. Your money will also be used for Buying Food for the Sheep and for General Maintenance of the Farm Land and therefore will benefit all Sheep living on Kissane Sheep Farm. After the year you can then decide if you want to continue the Adoption of your Sheep for another year and we will send you a reminder e mail, telling you that your Adoption is due for Renewal.
